At its Dec. 16, 2024 meeting in Albany, the Dougherty County Board of Commissioners heard a $1.7 million funding request from the Albany Museum of Art for a downtown relocation, held a contested rezoning hearing for a 2.9-acre parcel at 3415 Sylvester Highway that the commission approved with conditions, and approved several county contracts and resurfacing projects. The board also issued proclamations and moved into executive session to consider litigation, real estate and personnel matters.
