Parlier City Council met Oct. 19, 2023. The council recognized a local animal-shelter partner, swore in promoted officers and new hires, heard public comment on water (TCP) and a police contract impasse, reviewed a public-draft housing element, approved two tentative parcel maps, debated council stipends and city finances, discussed animal-control capacity and partnerships, and recessed into closed session to discuss labor negotiations.
