Rowlett City Council held a special meeting on Sept. 9, 2024 to consider several zoning and code amendments, including a revised planned-development for a Lakeview Parkway food-truck park and dog park, a special-use permit for a relocating vapor store, a rezoning/planned-development for a proposed car wash, and an ordinance requiring special-use permits for certain vehicle uses. Council approved the Lakeview PD amendment (with the dumpster to remain in its current location), approved the vapor-store SUP, approved the car-wash PD, and adopted the zoning change to require SUPs for car washes/auto repair.
