Acting Mayor called the Monday, August 5 meeting of the St. Joseph City Council to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
The St. Joseph City Council held a public hearing and adopted final assessments for the 2024 Street Improvements (excluding the Elm Street East extension), awarded the construction contract to Knife River Corp., approved a supplemental engineering agreement with SEH, heard extensive resident opposition and questions about assessment methodology and deferrals, received a fundraising update from Kinetic on the St. Joseph community center/YMCA campaign, and was notified of a $95,000 Safe Roads grant award for a County Road 121 crosswalk.
