Senate Revenue & Tax committee considered a package of tax and revenue-related bills, including a proposal to raise the used-vehicle exemption (House Bill 13-42), a property-tax dispute fairness bill (House Bill 15-62), housekeeping changes to the land redemption process (House Bill 17-68), a statewide tax-credit scholarship (Senate Bill 5-39) and a proposal to eliminate the gambling loss deduction to fund developmental-disability waiver slots (Senate Bill 6-40). Several bills passed by voice vote, one major tax-change proposal failed, and discussion on the gambling-deduction bill continued with public testimony and the committee recessed without a final vote.
