The Senate Agriculture, Forestry & Economic Development committee considered House Bill 1640, adopted an amendment reclassifying “game fish” as “primitive fish,” heard testimony from a McNair Middle School student advocating that the alligator gar be named Arkansas’ state fish, and passed the bill by voice vote.
