Limestone County commissioners and county staff held a budget workshop focused largely on a sheriffs request to raise deputy pay to remain competitive, options to use state SP 22 funds for salaries and equipment, and several budget transfers for equipment, bridge work and jail repairs. Commissioners agreed to multiple transfers and discussed trade-offs between one-time state funding and ongoing county pay increases.
