Liberty County Commissioners Court heard more than a dozen public comments urging the county to create an animal shelter and stronger animal-control laws amid rising dog attacks and bite calls. The court then processed routine business: consent agenda approval, multiple appointments, ARPA project awards and contracts, several payment requests, and a motion to exclude one Historic Commission nominee because of bond conditions.
