The recommended fiscal year (FY) 2026 budget was presented to the Dubuque City Council on Monday, March 31, 2025. The Dubuque City Council will hold a series of public meetings as part of the process to create the City of Dubuque’s budget for FY2026, which runs from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to participate in this process and provide input. During these hearings and meetings staff from each department and division will present FY2026 budget information to the city council and Mayor Brad Cavanagh. The public will also have the opportunity to share their input. Public input on the FY2026 budget may be submitted online through the budget public comments form at www.cityofdubuque.org/FY2026budget or by contacting City Council members at www.cityofdubuque.org/councilcontacts. The recommended budget materials will be available on the City of Dubuque website at www.cityofdubuque.org/FY2026budget and printed copies will be made available for checkout from the Carnegie-Stout Public Library Reference Desk.
