Preston City Council discussed several development and service items including proposals for a 20-acre ‘‘hospital’’ property (possible recreation center), a disputed waterline easement and hookup requests for a new subdivision, and negotiations over a long-term lease for a local food pantry; the council approved routine consent items, canceled the Dec. 23 meeting, and instructed staff to negotiate a lease to help the pantry secure funding.
