The Utah State Senate convened an extraordinary session on Nov. 9, 2015, at 4 p.m. to consider and consent to a slate of gubernatorial appointments, including Michael S. Hussey as executive director of the Department of Technology Services. The Senate adopted its rules, held a committee-of-the-whole appearance by the nominee, voted unanimously to confirm the appointments (21–0, 8 absent), and then adjourned.
