The Utah House of Representatives convened for the fourth special session called by the governor to consider funding for state correctional facilities in Draper, management and security of Range Creek state lands, amendments to Title 75 concerning out-of-state trustees, military service income tax deductions, confirmations of recent executive appointments, and other measures. The House organized under existing leadership, adopted rules, appointed committees to meet the Senate and governor, accepted a resignation effective Sept. 30, and moved House Bill 4,001 (Range Creek supplemental appropriations) to the third-reading calendar.
