The Alabama State Board of Education met Dec. 12, 2024, heard five public speakers in support of revised social studies standards and then unanimously approved the new social studies course of study and a set of routine rules, library guidelines, textbook adoptions, recognitions, the superintendents evaluation, and 2025 meeting dates.
