At its June 12, 2025 regular meeting the Moab City Planning Commission reviewed Ordinance 2025-08, an update to the citys master fee schedule affecting building, planning and engineering fees, and voted unanimously (3-0) to forward a positive recommendation to the City Council. Staff said the changes raise minimum building permit fees (from $65 to $85) to better reflect staff time, align planning minimums for complex reviews (example: master plan development base fee $350 plus $50 per lot) and respond to recent state code amendments that require faster review timelines. The commission also discussed upcoming items including an EV-readiness ordinance and noted the commission is lightly staffed and recruiting new members.
