Chair Supervisor John Novolos opened the Budget and Finance Committee and introduced committee membership and the clerk, Victor Young. Clerk Victor Young asked the public to turn off cell phones, complete speaker cards for public comment and noted items acted on today will appear on the Board of Supervisors agenda in November 2010 unless stated otherwise.
The San Francisco Budget and Finance Committee met to consider eight items including airport curbside management and parking services contract, repair contracts for damaged Muni light rail vehicles, small PUC easement purchases, release of reserves for an environmental-justice grant program, a Mills Act historic-preservation contract for 1818 California St., Union Square BID annual report, and an ordinance to appropriate financing costs for capital projects. Committee members heard presentations, public comment and approved recommendations or forwarded items to the full Board with amendments or subject to conditions.
