The Abatement Appeals Board heard an appeal of an order of abatement for 109 Pierce Street, where inspectors found mold, dry rot and an inoperable heater in an occupied unit. After presentations from Department staff, the property owner and public commenters, the board voted 4–1 to continue the case 30 days and urged the parties to negotiate and engage outreach/mediation resources.
