The Building Inspection Commission held a special Feb. 2022 meeting for the Department of Building Inspection’s proposed budgets for fiscal years 2022–23 and 2023–24. Deputy Director Taris Madison reviewed revenues, rising expenditures and reserves; commissioners pressed on work orders, vacant-building fees and penalties. No members of the public spoke; the commission set follow-up hearings and adjourned.
