The San Francisco Historic Preservation Commission voted unanimously (6-0) to recommend landmark designation for the Colombo Market Arch in Sydney Walton Square, after staff and historian presentations, public testimony both for and against, and deliberations that removed "freestanding" from the character-defining features and requested an interpretive panel and consideration of any remaining original paint.
