swimming lesson to be held August 29, 2025, which is open to the public. (Stacy

9. Consider adoption of a resolution to authorize Mayor Cowen to enter into an agreement

10. Introduce Budget Amendment 2024/2025-23 to provide funds for sanitation dumpsters,
scales and installation, and travel to the Alabama Recycling Coalition Conference. (Kathy

11. Consider authorizing the closure of a portion of 2nd Avenue, between 17th and 18th Streets
on August 26, 2025, from 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm to enable the City Election Manager to utilize
the City Hall Council Chambers as the location for the return of election ballots and

12. Conduct a public hearing and consider adoption of a resolution to set cost for Nuisance

17. Conduct a public hearing and consider adoption of an ordinance rezoning 50 separate
parcels from the MR (Municipal Reserve) Zoning District to the R-1 (Single Family
Residence), B-T (Transition Business), B-2 (Community Service), B-4 (I-22 Business
Corridor), M-2 (Heavy Industrial), M-3 (Industrial Park) or AG (Agricultural) Zoning
