August 23rd was our City Nights Event, featuring live music by Electric Mantra, food and drink vendors, Foamin' fun Kids Zone, yard games by Cerro Coso Community College, a pop up Farmers Market and more. Thank you everyone who came out and celebrated with us!

RPD UPDATES:
Please join us in welcoming three new officers to the Ridgecrest Police Department: Officer Sean Gilmore, Officer Damien Foust, and Officer Justin Dennison.
July 29: RPD responded to a dangerous AR-15 assault case. With the help of FLOCK Safety cameras and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office, suspect Andrew Nicklas Herrera was safely apprehended in Victorville. An AR-15 rifle was recovered, and Herrera now faces multiple charges, including assault with a deadly weapon.

ROAD WORK:
Norma Street Closure: Beginning August 18 through September 22, N. Norma Street will be closed between Las Flores Ave and Howell Ave.
Businesses in the area will remain open.
Check past posts for detour information.
After September 22, one lane in each direction will reopen while work continues.
Another closure will also affect N. Norma Street from Drummond to Las Flores — see posted detour maps for access routes.
Shetland Field Update: Fresh sod has been laid at Shetland Field as part of ongoing renovations to improve sports facilities for our community.
