Mayor called the Talent City Council meeting to order and city staff performed roll call: Councilors Cooley, Penemra, Greider, Byers, Parra Miller and Mayor Flood were present; Councilor Pestizo was absent.
The Talent City Council on Aug. 21, 2024, adopted a Clean Energy and Clean Air resolution and approved extending workers' compensation coverage to certain volunteers. Council heard a series of public comments strongly supporting the clean energy resolution, received staff updates on grants and projects (including a $1,300,000 FEMA IGA for Bear Creek wildfire mitigation and a CDBG invitation to submit a full application), and approved routine appointments and an art donation agreement direction.
