It's late in August, but not too late to enjoy our Tree of the Month: Northern Catalpa! 🌳 The Forestry Division is kicking off a new series where staff highlights a new tree species each month to celebrate the diversity of our urban forest! Watch as one of this summer's externs, Urbandale High School teacher Anna Christian, talks about the flowering habit, 18-inch seed pods and hardiness factors that make the catalpa an excellent shade tree!
