At its Dec. 9, 2024 meeting, the California State Athletic Commission upheld a referees decision in the James Porter vs. Angel Ramirez bout, voted to enforce an arbitration order and release withheld purse funds to a manager, approved its 2025 meeting and rulemaking calendars and reappointed medical advisory committee members; the commission also recognized retirements and received agency reports.
