The Virginia Military Institute Board of Visitors, will hold three special meetings on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 11 a.m. in the Smith Hall Boardroom, Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 2 p.m. in the Smith Hall Boardroom, and Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 11 a.m. in the Preston Library Turman Room on the post of Virginia Military Institute, Lexington, Va. The purpose of the meetings is to interview finalists for the position of VMI superintendent. VMI business will be discussed among more than two members of the Board of Visitors. Immediately upon convening the meeting, the Superintendent Search Committee will move into closed session to discuss only matters lawfully exempt from open meeting requirements. The only parts of the committee meeting that will be open to the public will be the motion to go into closed session and the certification of closed session at the end of the meeting.
