The Yadkin County Board of Commissioners met June 2, 2025. The board heard public comment from a representative of the Boonville Community Volunteer Fire Department about aging apparatus, staffing and impending SCBA replacements; held public hearings and approved partial abandonments of portions of Bell Schoolhouse Road and Harrison Road; approved a rezoning request (RZ25-003) for parcel #131856 from Highway Business to Residential General; and approved multiple routine budget amendments, contracts, grants and policy updates including amendments to the Solid Waste collection contract and several vendor renewals. Several appointments and reappointments were made and the board recessed to a continued session June 3, 2025.
