The Jackson County Justice and Law Enforcement Committee met briefly to consider a resolution to award a contract for two Sheriff's Office transport vans, including one wheelchair-accessible vehicle. County staff explained the request as part of a new annual vehicle-replacement practice to address high-mileage fleet vehicles and operational risks. The committee moved, seconded and voted to recommend the resolution for adoption.
