The City of Evansville Board of Public Safety met on Aug. 14, 2024, and unanimously approved a $49,400 contract to remove brick and building debris at the former Pearl Laundry site, approved routine police and fire department items including a Narcan policy and mutual-aid agreement, and cleared a slate of street closures, special-event permits and parking requests for fall community events.
