The Bay Shore Union Free School District board met in public session on Sept. 25, 2025. Students from Bayshore Middle School presented a civics capstone that led to new halal-labeled menu options in the middle school cafeteria. The board approved routine personnel items, adopted the 2025–26 tax rate ($23.03 residential; $32.28 commercial), authorized a $38 million tax anticipation note, approved a $2.5 million budget amendment, and voted to approve a $3.75 million settlement under the Child Victims Act. Staff also reported on college application trends, extracurricular trips, and program contracts and memoranda of agreement.
