The Village of Barrington Fire Department is hosting a supply drive to benefit the Barrington Township Food Pantry, located at 602 S. Hough St., throughout the month of September. While food donations are always appreciated, there are important everyday essentials that cannot be purchased with Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. Please consider donating the following items to help stock the pantry’s shelves.
-Paper goods: toilet tissue, paper towels and facial tissue
-Cleaning and household supplies: laundry detergent, dish soap, bleach, trash bags, storage bags, foil and plasticware
-Personal care items: shampoo, conditioner, razors, shaving cream, soap, deodorant, body lotion, toothpaste, floss and feminine hygiene products
Donations can be dropped off in the marked box located inside the lobby of the Barrington Public Safety Facility, 400 N. Northwest Hwy. through Tuesday, Sept. 30. Thank you for supporting local families in need!
