With co-chair Daniel Schultz presiding, the CSD Finance Committee convened in-person and via video conferencing for its monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 1. Director of Business Services Josh Sweigard reviewed interim financial statements of the district through March 31, 2025, including the statement of changes in net assets and balance sheet. Sweigard then went over the 2023-24 independent audit, in which the district seeks to receive an “unmodified opinion.” As part of the audit overview, Sweigard reviewed the status of the funds on the district’s financial statements: government funds (general, capital reserve, capital projects), proprietary funds (food service, internal service), and fiduciary funds (OPEB trust, student activities). Items for approval at the April 8 legislative meeting included the renewal of the LifeTouch Picture contract, a propane bid, and a contract with Valbridge Property Advisors, which evaluates tax parcels in the township. The next Finance Committee meeting is Tuesday, May 6, following the Facilities Committee meeting.
