As we wrap up Fire Prevention Week, it’s important to always remember these 3 things. 1. When you buy an item with a rechargeable battery, look for one of the three safety symbols. 2. Don’t overcharge your devices. Set a timer and unplug it once it’s fully charged to avoid overheating. 3. Recycle batteries in a special drop-off. Batteries thrown in your normal trash or recycling bins can start fires.
