The Stanton City Council met Oct. 8, 2024. The council recognized a public works employee, approved direction to staff to draft an amendment increasing the citys local vendor preference from 2% to 3% for non-exempt purchases, agreed to a study session on homesteading ordinances, and heard an Orange County Fire Authority report covering a recent structure fire, mutual-aid deployments and injured firefighters.
