Meeting convened and roll called by presiding officer; the board led the Pledge of Allegiance and moved to adopt the agenda. Procedural motions to adopt the agenda and approve previous minutes were moved, seconded and approved without recorded objection.
At its Oct. 20, 2025 Lakewood City School Board meeting, district leaders presented a recommendation to repurpose Lincoln Elementary as a centralized early learning center and described the districts current preschool programs, licensing rules and equity goals. Dozens of residents testified for and against the plan during an extended public-comment period. The board approved the superintendents October 6 facility recommendation after discussion and public comment; the motion carried with some opposition.
