Students from South Weber Elementary recently enjoyed a hands-on day at Warrior Rizen Ranch in Morgan — riding horses, meeting animals and learning in a calm, supportive environment designed with their needs in mind. “Our students with disabilities were welcomed so warmly,” said Special Education Teaching Assistant Katelyn Diederich. “They rode horses, saw chickens and enjoyed learning outside the classroom.” Special Education Teacher Becky Eyre, shared, “We needed a peaceful place where their individual needs could be met — and this ranch made that possible.” Ranch Manager Mindy Savage added, “There’s a special connection between these students and the horses. We want every child to feel safe, supported and enjoy themselves here.”
