The Mount Lebanon Board of School Directors held a discussion meeting at Parkway West Career & Technology Center on Oct. 13, 2025. Parkway West executive director Darby Copeland and his staff presented program outcomes, industry credentials and a facility study, and explained the joint operating committees proposal to purchase the recently-closed Pittsburgh Technical College campus as a potential solution to overcrowding and aging facilities. Board members asked detailed questions about cost allocation under the joint-venture formula, financing structure and timing; several members said Mount Lebanon cannot absorb the likely added cost. The meeting also covered proposed policy updates (including bicycle use), routine finance items (treasurers report and tax refunds) and a field-naming proposal honoring former coach Art Walker.
