The Village of Lisle Committee of the Whole met Oct. 6, 2025. A resident, Susan Israel, used the public-comment period to complain about contractor damage to private water infrastructure, billing by Illinois American, and the villages handling of a wheeling fund and front-footage fees. Staff presented a detailed update on the Burlington Avenue reconstruction project (Burlington between Yackley Avenue and Illinois Route 53), describing scope, federal Surface Transportation Program funding, engineering challenges (driveway slopes, stormwater, sidewalk encroachment), land-acquisition needs for temporary construction easements, cost tradeoffs for on-street parking, and a staff recommendation to drop proposed south-side parking. Trustees expressed general support for staffs recommendation and directed staff to prepare a contract amendment for board consideration Oct. 20.
