The New Bedford City Council convened a special ceremonial meeting on Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, to present citations and resolutions honoring local community leaders, activists, small-business owners and cultural organizations. The council read letters, adopted ceremonial resolutions by voice vote for multiple honorees and heard short remarks from recipients and sponsors. The meeting concluded with a roll-call adjournment (7–1).
