Fluvanna County School Board met Sept. 10, 2024. The board recognized a bus driver for heroic actions, heard detailed briefings on school resource officer (SRO) staffing and grant compliance with Sheriff Hess, received a Dominion Energy update on existing solar PPAs and five systems, debated and adopted a state-mandated bell-to-bell cell phone policy (JFCM), approved CIP and budget calendar items, and approved several routine items and a UVA study.
