McMinnville held a joint budget committee work session and city council meeting to discuss setup of new budget software, the level of detail and timeline for the FY26–27 budget process, and to consider several council resolutions. Finance Director Katie Henry walked the committee through ORS 294 basics, asked for prioritized questions and deadlines, and sought input on whether the budget book should show detailed general ledger lines or rolled-up categories. Councilors generally favored keeping detailed account lines while rolling up some fringe benefits; staff said the earliest the budget documents could be delivered is May 4. During the council meeting the body approved a Linear Park irrigation renovation contract (Resolution 2025-59) and approved a resolution supporting a DLCD technical assistance grant application (Resolution 2025-60), both by unanimous votes.
