The meeting opened slightly late, included the Pledge of Allegiance and adoption of the posted agenda, and featured a presentation recognizing William and Lauren Carey and Dr. Trina Murdock for organizing a school beautification day on Sept. 20 in response to vandalism on campus last spring. Organizers said the event, coordinated with the PTO, was intended as a community healing effort and included planting and other activities.
