The Washoe County School District Board of Trustees met on Oct. 28, 2025, to handle consent business, approve a $275,000 contract with OnStrategy for school-repurposing process work, review early-stage budget reduction concepts for FY2026–27 and direct multiple analyses to staff, adopt zoning boundary changes tied to the Bernice Matthews modernization, and complete the superintendents annual performance evaluation. The board voted to move several analytic tasks forward (including analyses of reinvesting consolidation savings into high-need schools, counting early-education students in allocation counts, guest-teacher pay incentives, Medicaid reimbursements, and the school-year calendar) and unanimously accepted the superintendents final evaluation. Several public commenters and district staff addressed enrollment, communication and facility modernization concerns.
