The Branson Planning Commission met Oct. 7, 2025, and approved minutes from the Sept. 2 meeting and a preliminary plat for the Longstone 2 subdivision, a proposed 35-lot single-family development on 11 acres at 622 Sunshine. Planning staff told the commission the proposal complies with the 2030 preferred land use map and subdivision criteria; the Parks Board unanimously declined to accept public open space, while the applicant will provide 3.16 acres of private open space. A nearby resident raised traffic safety concerns on Sunshine and Lee Avenue; commissioners voted 6-0 to approve the plat. Staff also reported that the separate Elevate project is pursuing an administrative planning process rather than a major subdivision.
