At the Martin County MPO meeting on Oct. 27, 2025, Florida Department of Transportation (District 4) presented its draft tentative five‑year work program and confirmed multi‑year construction funding for major segments of State Road 710 in Martin and eastern Okeechobee counties. DOT and Turnpike staff also described resurfacing, multimodal and safety projects across the district; the Turnpike presented a long‑range plan including a Direct Connect interchange and mainline widenings. The Federal review team reported no corrective actions for the Port St. Lucie TMA. Late in the meeting county counsel advised the board that the agenda packet had not been posted to the public website and recommended postponing votes taken at the meeting for formal re‑consideration after proper notice.
