The Citrus County School Board held a special meeting and workshop that opened with brief announcements and passed several routine contracts and personnel items. The board approved a first amendment to the 2025–26 School Resource Officer (SRO) financial contract, multiple personnel recommendations, intercounty Title I equitable-service agreements, and a master technology agreement with Planbook Inc. The workshop reviewed a package of policy updates (employment of nondegreed vocational/career and technical staff; student transportation; change orders; certification continuity; foreign-exchange students; emergency opioid antagonist policy; and a zero-tolerance/expulsion update tied to recent statute changes). Board counsel transition and a proposal to offer a single Cambridge ACE English General Paper course at two high schools (Citrus High and Crystal River High) were also discussed.
