Austin ISD leaders held a community meeting at Palm Elementary to present a draft consolidation plan that would reassign Palm students to Perez Elementary (with some downstream adjustments), explain the rationale (low enrollment, budget shortfall, state accountability risk, and feeder realignment), and lay out next steps including a revised plan release and a board vote scheduled for Nov. 20.
