On Oct. 30, 2025 the City Council's Housing and Community Development Committee received a presentation on the Lakewoods campus vision plan in South Toledo. Presenters described a multi-phase plan to improve walkability, shore stabilization, shared stewardship across 16 parcel owners and to build 52 affordable senior housing units with a ground-floor Margaret Hunt senior center; the city provided $1,200,000 toward Evergreen Heights housing.
