Montgomery City board members voted unanimously to approve a temporary wireless telecommunications facility (a COW, or cell on wheels) at 2100 Chestnut Street after T‑Mobile’s rooftop lease at Jackson Hospital ended. Crafton Communications consultant Brian Sullivan described the 75‑foot tow‑behind mast, its placement on private property east of Jackson Hospital near Interstate 85, and said the temporary lease is for up to two years while a permanent site is developed. Board members asked about setbacks, right‑of‑way, property occupation and timing; Sullivan said the COW would be installed in mid‑November pending a building permit and would restore service gaps shown in T‑Mobile coverage maps. The board approved the request by motion and second; the vote was recorded as unanimous.
