The Village of Villa Park Board of Trustees held a special meeting on Oct. 27, 2025. Trustees conducted roll call, heard public comments (including a resident complaint about waiving second readings and a presentation about a local environmental group and pumpkin-smash event), approved routine consent items (with corrections and removals), confirmed an appointment to the Board of Police and Fire Commissioners, voted to issue rollover general obligation bonds after a competitive sale, accepted a $140,000 DCEO sidewalk grant, approved a memorandum of understanding to accept a donated 1914 Chicago, Aurora & Elgin rail car for the Prairie Path, reviewed capital projects and finance reports, directed the Local Liquor Control Commission to review gaming signage, and moved into executive session on personnel.
