The Catalina Foothills Unified School District governing board met Oct. 28, 2025. After extensive public comment and a staff presentation on enrollment, staffing and costs, the board voted 5-0 to approve a gradual phase-out of the Mandarin Chinese immersion program at Sunrise Drive Elementary. The meeting also approved routine consent items and several policy updates and received reports on bond and capital-override spending.
