Sacramento County hosted a biannual "Thrive Summit" at Sacramento State that brought county staff, elected officials, community leaders and service providers together to highlight diversity, equity and inclusion work and neighborhood-level initiatives. Speakers presented updates on the CHIA (Community Health and Action) Coalition’s food, housing and mental-health work; county homeless services and housing programs; public-safety reentry and racial-disparity efforts; and youth leadership projects. County leaders and a DEI cabinet outlined plans to formalize community partnership structures and to translate the summit recommendations into action and budgeting decisions.
